Membership and public relations
The communications committee is tasked with addressing the marketing and PR needs of the co-op. Specific projects under this committee include the website, seasonal newsletter, promotional material content creation & design, campaign planning, communications strategy, and more!
The finance committee oversees financial policy, bookkeeping, and organizing fundraisers for the co-op. . Among other things, they are tasked with writing policies, handling incorporation matters, managing the bank account, accounting, taxes, business plan development, and financial goal setting.
This group also seeks applicable grants and other funding sources such as contests, awards, etc., then take the appropriate steps to apply on behalf of the co-op.
The planning committee is looking into our 501(c)3 non-profit status, business plan, bylaws, and more.
This committee is all about healthy, local foods, connecting with vendors, and promoting healthy eating. This includes investigating SNAP EBT benefits for the Indiana Farmers’ Market and other local food initiatives.
